Stunningly Beautiful Decks Built The RIGHT Way
Top-Flight Design + Highest Construction Standards = Amazing Results
Let’s face it. There’s a ton of deck companies out there willing to build you a deck. A handful are good, many are mediocre, and there’s some bad apples out there.
At Custom Decks, we’re miles away from bad or mediocre, but even “good” isn’t good enough for us. We’re in the amazing business. We have a deck team of designers, project managers, and installers that deliver top-quality results every single time.
That’s why we have such a great reputation, including an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and 25+ years in business.
If your goal is a stunningly beautiful deck built right the first time, Custom Decks is the proven choice.
We Don’t Limit You: Custom Decks Can Build Trex Decks, Other Composite Decks, & Wood Decks
Do you want a composite deck that requires very little maintenance?
Or maybe you have your heart set on a classic wood deck?
No matter your answer, Custom Decks can help. After 25+ years in business, we’re true experts on all deck solutions. We’re not here to try to talk you into our preconceived idea of a deck; we’re here to help you get the deck of your dreams.
The Preferred Choice Of Many Homeowners Is Trex
Trex is the pioneer in environmentally friendly, composite decking that requires almost no maintenance. Durable, beautiful, and reasonably priced, Trex is a choice homeowners absolutely love. We think it’s the best choice for most decks.
To discover more about Trex, visit our Trex Decks page.
Plus More Composite Deck Choices
While Trex is often the first choice for homeowners who want a composite deck, we don’t believe in limiting you. To give you other options, we also carry high-quality composite decking materials from TimberTech.
By offering you decking choices from over a dozen composite decking manufacturers, you’ll never feel limited on colors and styles. For more on virtually maintenance-free composite decks, please visit our Composite Decks page.
Beautiful Wood Decks
If your idea of a wood deck is the standard decking lumber you can buy at any of those huge home improvement stores, please know that it can be so much more than that.
After 25+ years in business, we can say that other companies don’t have our depth of knowledge of working with all types of wood. We’re experts in both hardwood (Ipe, Tigerwood, Batu, Cumaru, Mahogany) and softwood (redwood, cedar, pine). If you’re unsure of what you want, and need to know more about the pros and cons of each, we’re here to help.
Our Construction Quality Is Elite-Quality – And We Can Prove It.
Our quality of construction is unmatched. We overbuild our decks – shortcuts are never allowed at Custom Decks. Of course, every company says they do quality work, but how do you know who is really doing it right?
We prove it by meeting the highest standards. For example:
- Most decks are installed with floorboards running at a 90-degree angle in relation to your home. This is “okay” but not the best. We lay our boards at a 45-degree angle, which greatly reduces or even eliminates “racking.” (Racking is where a deck shakes a bit when you walk on it or shift your weight on it.)
- The joists are what support your deck underneath. For a deck to meet code, joists must be 16 inches on center. Not good enough for us – we place them 12 inches on center for better stability.
- We also put a border around the edge of our decks, and we support this with perimeter blocking. This tightens the overall structure of our decks and looks fantastic.
- We always use pressure treated lumber on every deck we build, even when it’s not required by code. This insures a longer life for your deck without extra expense.
